Peavey proudly introduces its new VYPYR(r) Series modeling guitar amplifiers, the most technologically advanced and affordable guitar modeling amplifiers available.

With double the processing power, models and effects of competitive modeling amplifiers, the VYPYR Series dramatically redefines the power and scope of modern guitar amplification. VYPYR amplifiers are based on a combination of powerful 32-bit, floating-point SHARC processors and patented TransTube analog circuitry.

Featuring 24 amp channel models--both the clean and distorted channels of 12 popular amps for the first time anywhere--plus 11 editable preamp "stomp box" effects and 11 editable post-amp "rack" effects with dual-parameter control. Players can use up to five effects simultaneously. When used with the optional Peavey Sanpera(tm) II foot controller, the possibilities further expand from 12 in-amp presets to 400 programmable presets, with an on-board looper and more.

The VYPYR also acts as its own computer audio interface, with a built-in studio-quality USB 2.0 output on most models that is recognized by computers as an audio device. The entire six-model VYPYR Series features the easy-to-use Peavey WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface.

Peavey proudly introduces the Sanpera I and Sanpera II, a pair of MIDI foot controllers designed to enhance the VYPYR(tm) Series modeling guitar amplification experience

The Sanpera II allows the user to remotely control virtually any feature of the VYPYR Series modeling amplifiers, and increases the preset storage from 12 in-amp presets to an astounding 400 programmable presets. This controller features dual, assignable expression pedals with tap switches, dedicated tap tempo and looper control, as well as footswitches for accessing presets, preamp "stompbox" effects, post-amp "rack" effects, delay and reverb.

The Sanpera I includes an expression pedal for executing volume, wah and pitch shifter functions, plus four momentary feature selector buttons. Both the Sanpera I and II are housed in roadworthy and rugged cast-metal casings and feature high-quality metal switches.

Peavey Vypyr Updater

In an effort to constantly improve our products and designs we have created the VYPYR Updater.The VYPYR Updater is an application designed to upload firmware updates to your VYPYR. In order to upload the sysex information to your VYPYR you will need a USB to MIDI converter capable of transferring system exclusive information.

While we have made every effort to ensure the Updater is compatible with most USB to MIDI devices we have verified its functionality withthe following products:

• M-Audio USB Uno
  
• Edirol UM-1SX
  
• Turtle Beach MIDI USB cable
  
  

Here is what you need to do.

• Create a VYPYR folder on your desktop.
  
• Download the file vypyrUpdater2_61.zip and PeaveyVypyr1_59.syx to the same folder.
  
• Connect your MIDI device and install the appropriate drivers if necessary.
  
• Make sure your MIDI cable is connected to the Remote Switch jack on your VYPYR, AND the correct port on your MIDI to USB device.
  (Note: On some units the correct output jack on the MIDI to USB device may be labeled IN, try both if it doesn't work!)
  
• Open the VYPYR Updater program and follow the instructions.
  
• The STARTUP HELP wizard (will open automatically on startup) uploads some files automatically so it is important to use the STARTUP HELP wizard and follow the on-screen instructions.
  
• Use OPEN FIRMWARE and UPLOAD code from the top menu only after the initial code update.
