Tim McGraw Wins Grammy® Award

SANTA MONICA, Calif.—Peavey congratulates Tim McGraw, whose single "Live Like You Were Dying" won Best Male Country Vocal Performance at the 47th annual Grammy Awards Sunday night. Peavey artist Denny Hemingson, a longtime member of McGraw's Dancehall Doctors backing band, played on McGraw's album of the same name.
In addition, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, one of Peavey's earliest endorsers, won the Grammy for Best Country Instrumental Performance. The group teamed with Earl Scruggs, Randy Scruggs, Jerry Douglas and Vassar Clements on "Earl's Breakdown," a track on the compilation
Will the Circle Be Unbroken: The Trilogy.
The No. 1 hit "Live Like You Were Dying," a tribute to McGraw's late father, previously won the Country Music Association Award for 2004 Single of the Year. Hemingson, his steel and resonator guitarist, uses Peavey Nashville(TM) Series amps, the standard in steel guitar amplification for nearly thirty years.
