Summer NAMM: Peavey Unveils Jerry Donahue Signature Omniac™ Guitar

Peavey proudly introduces the new Omniac JD USA guitar, designed with rock 'n' roll guitar legend Jerry Donahue. The signature Omniac corrals five groundbreaking rock tones into a fully modern, expertly crafted guitar.
When it comes to the time-tested single-coil tones that helped define rock 'n roll, the most influential guitar and pickup designs were created prior to the mid-1950s in two instruments: a two-pickup design and a three-pickup design. Until now, guitarists would have to drag at least two guitars to a gig or session in order to capture all of these celebrated rock tones. The Omniac captures the best of these tones in one custom two-pickup instrument.
The secret is a unique electronics package that includes a special Seymour Duncan(R) pickup set—including the specially wired Jerry Donahue Signature pickup in the bridge position—and a proprietary five-way selector switch that reveals these five stunning, classic guitar tones.
"The Omniac is a finely crafted guitar," says Donahue, "and a workhorse for anyone who wants to access these appealing warm and bright tones without having to haul around a bunch of instruments. I've respected Peavey guitars for quite some time, and this is a very special guitar."
The Omniac's charisma is reflected by its playing comfort and high quality construction and materials, including a striking birdseye maple neck, rich body binding and chrome hardware.
The Omniac JD USA guitar will be available in Q3 2005 from authorized Peavey dealers.
