Summer NAMM: Peavey MAX® Bass Combos Feature Switchable Voicings, Exclusive Hypervent™ Technology

Peavey proudly introduces the new MAX Series bass combo amplifiers, featuring multiple voicings, EQ options and Peavey's exclusive HyperVent(TM) and TransTube(R) technologies. Peavey outfitted these MAX Series bass systems with 10 to 60 Watt power ratings and premium Peavey speakers for rehearsal and small gig use. A semi-parametric EQ with low, mid, mid shift and high controls provides intensive tone shaping on the MAX 115, while multiple voicings—MAX, Modern and Vintage on the 115 model; Modern and Vintage on the 110, 112 and 158 models; and MAX and Vintage on the 126 model—adjust the preamps for a wide range of tone options. In Vintage mode, switchable TransTube tube emulation technology (specially voiced for bass) reconfigures the actual EQ structure, thickening the tone for the grit of '60s and '70s bass amps. The Modern voice setting amplifies the pure sound of your bass guitar and your playing style without imposing its own tone signatures, while the MAX voicing is the classic Peavey MAX Series tone. On the MAX 115 and 112 models, Peavey's exclusive HyperVent technology provides a rich, full tone by reducing standing waves in the bass cabinet ports that cause air noise. The specially designed dual HyperVent front ports push the bass to the front of the cab so the full bass output capacity of the speaker is realized. The 115 and 112 models feature Peavey's exclusive DDT(TM) compression, which protects against clipping and speaker damage.
