CS 800 for use as a home audio subwoofer amp question. Easiest way to hook up to a newer Yamaha receiver?

Post by Joeblock81 » Sun Mar 26, 2017 4:46 pm

Hi there, complete novice to this forum and to the use of a pro amp for home use. What is the most simple way to connect a CS 800 to my receiver and my subwoofer? My receiver only has a sub pre out RCA jack, I presume I will need a preamp for this install, but do I need an equalizer as well?

Can I simply use a RCA to 1/4" Jack? Should I install a balanced/unbalanced/ground loop isolator such as thishttps://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00101WA ... eliminator

Please let me know what additional info I can supply to aid in a solution.

Best regards and thank you for your time!

I think you can do it with a simple RCA to 1/4" adapter cable. No pre-amp needed.
