Ronnie Miller
Ronnie bought his first pedal guitar in 1967 from Don Edwards Guitar City in Denver, and soon after started playing clubs in the Denver area. In the 70's in addition to doing a lot of the studio work in Denver, Ronnie spent 10 yrs teaching Pedal Steel @ Guitar City, the other two G.C. teachers at that time were Dick Meis, and Rusty Young. In 1983, after working the Denver area clubs for several years Ronnie started his own band Whirlwind, they played the club circuits in Colorado, and the surrounding states. Whirlwind opened for many Artist including Vince Gill, Pure Prairie League, Southern Pacific, Moe Bandy, Ricky Van Shelton, Restless Heart, Lorrie Morgan, Jerry Reed, & Sweethearts of the Rodeo. Whirlwind is still together today. In January of 93 Ronnie moved to Dallas, and became the steel player for Charley Pride. He has toured many parts of the world as a Pridesman, and when not out with Charley he works with some of the local Dallas bands, in addition he also attends, and plays some of the many Steel Guitar shows, including Dallas, Knoxville, and the ISGA in St. Louis. In 2000 Ronnie was inducted into the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame.
