Alan Whitener
Alan began his musical training early, singing in the Chattanooga Boys Choir from the age of 5 till his early teens. He also played saxophone in his Jr. high and high school bands. While in high school, Alan turned his musical interests to Rock 'n Roll. He began singing with some classmates who had formed a "garage band" and racked up a Battle Of The Bands title before graduating. After high school Alan began playing the bar circuits with his high school friends. In '93 he formed his first successful effort. For 3 years MACHINE 13 tore through the bar scene, becoming one of the southeast's top drawing bar bands. Two of his current band mates, Berry and Kevin, were part of that line-up. In the spring of '98, Alan decided to put together another project. This time concentrating on original material. By fall, Alan had enlisted Berry, Kevin and high school friend Rodney. The MIGHTY SIDESHOW had begun. Alan's vocals are dynamic and strong. Years of training and gigging have given him an endurance that is quite important to touring singers. He also plays some mean guitar.
