Travis Toy
Travis Toy was born and raised in Midway, KY. He started playing the drums at age 11, and quickly moved on to other stringed instruments. Travis's father, Ron Toy, was a multi-instrumentalist who influenced and encouraged him to pursue music. At the age of 13 he fell in love with the sound of Pedal Steel Guitar. He dedicated the next several years of his life to an intense study of the instrument. Along the way he also picked up guitar, bass, dobro, and banjo. He moved to Nashville in December of '99, and quickly began working as an in demand sideman. He's made numerous national television appearances including: "The Grand Ole Opry," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," ESPN's "Cold Pizza," The CMA Awards, CMT's "Most Wanted Live," "Good Morning America," "The Today Show," "The Wayne Brady Show," and many others. He is currently touring with Rascal Flatts, and recording/playing with various other artists in Nashville.
