Bill Lonero
In the world of music Bill Lonero is not cool, if cool means following trends and using computers to create songs. Not only does Bill play instrumental guitar (which by its own intrinsic value is not trendy) but he does even this different from the pack. Not concerned with 5 minute solos and constant time changes he is more concerned with writing a good song than impressing people. If that means a song has no solo and is just acoustic guitar then so be it. He also strayed from using computers in the recording process for his new cd "Slather." All guitar parts were recorded all the way through with no cutting and pasting, editing or punch-ins. In short, he sacrificed speed of recording for integrity of music. Bill began playing guitar at the age of 12, Angus Young being his first and biggest influence in terms of guitar and attitude. His first musical influences were Elvis Presley and Barry Manilow, sighting Manilow's abilities to write melodies as an inspiration.
